Canned Heat Glass is a small family-owned business that is focused on providing high quality glass equipment for modern glass artist around the world. Our equipment is designed, tested, and continually used by some of the most prolific glass artists. We have been concentrating our energy on the electric glass furnace movement surrounding the MoSi2 elements (MOLY). This technology has given glass artists of all kinds access to good, clean, hot glass without the need for fossil fuels or combustion exhaust. We still make gas furnaces. They work wonderfully and are the same price as the electric. As gas prices go up and the ability to generate electricity becomes easier, we have seen some serious energy savings. 
Canned Heat Glass is dedicated to the craft of glass, and we take great pride in all the equipment we build. If we do not have what you need on our website, we welcome the opportunity to make custom equipment. There is no project too big or too small. We build all our equipment custom to order with the highest quality materials and electronics available. All control panels are UL listed in Us and Canada. CE-marked and built according to EU standards. 
We are currently doing all we can to make our equipment available to European countries and decrease the cost of shipping. Canned Heat is currently in the process of setting up a shipping hub in Berlin where all replacement parts and castings will be available. Furnaces come standard with Emhart crucibles and replacement crucibles that can fit several manufacturers like Magma and Engineered Ceramics.
